Bumblefoot has a Raygun!!!

Kkk, nowadays we've got lots of new guitar players out there that are changing the course of the guitar, usually lots of beginners used to listen just that same Trio (like Vai, Satriani and Malmsteen) and we'got billions of guys playing the same licks. Nothing against V, S and M, but new guitar players need to listen to new people, maybe it's not their fault, and today we've got the internet which is a powerful tool to discover new sounds and stuff.

Bumblefoot(or Ron Thal) started studying music at his 7 years of age, and believe me, this guy just haven't played with god yet, try to see his biography ( www.bumblefoot.com ). Also check it out his records (Uncool, Hands, 9.11 and his new album Abnormal just to name a few). Bumblefoot contributed a lot to the guitar circle in terms of technique, like mixing tapping with harmonics and using a thimble to play very high notes that you normally cannot reach in a common guitar(we talk about this in another post). Anyways this guy it's just a legend ^^, and i'm going to show you one of his licks, this one you can hear in the end of the song Raygun(9.11). You can find Bumblefoot's albums in the Baldfreak website.

TIPS:
-For this lick, place(do not press) your index finger FIXED in the 5th fret position covering all the strings (in a way that you could play the 5th fret harmonics in your guitar), and to hit the other notes with your left hand you are going to use the 2, 3 and 4 fingers.

-For the tapping with your picking hand, you can use your fingers 1 and 2 ( index and middle) or if you preffer to keep your pick in your hand, use the fingers 2 and 3.

-When the tapping note is followed by the 5th note harmonic all you have to do is pull-off the tapping note so you make the 5th fret harmonic appear.

-Every note marked as the 5th fret is an harmonic.

-The last compass i've based it in a live version of the song( it's funnier XD) but it's just 2 or 3
notes that changed at all.

Wasabi Guitar Ò.Ó

Hey o/, wow, my first post, I just can't believe.
Well anyways, all I want to do in this Blog is show you some cool music and some artists that you may think it's interesting to take a look, and post for you some guitar exercises so I hope you enjoy it, thank you ^^...

Kkk, I think if you want to be a good writer you need to know lots of words. How? Reading lots of books, looking for dictionaries and stuff, and you also need to know lots of subjects, like legends, real stories, un-real stories, etc...
Same thing we apply to the music, if you want to be a good musician you need to learn lots of music styles, rock, jazz, country and from lots of countries like Brazil, Armenia, Japan and so on. Based on that, I've created lots of exes based on a Japanese scale(very used on Shamisens), that involves Hybrid Picking, Tapping and Sweep Picking.

Be careful in the ex 15, you may want to use your index finger to mute the strings while you press it.

Any question and stuff, post a comment.

Bye, always an honor o/
